Some feedback from the open studio visit included potentially making a zine. this came from comments referring to the figures in my prints looking like characters that could be defined more and used in a zine setting. I quite like the idea of defining my portraits as characters, whilst they would need some fleshing out I think it makes sense, as I'm trying to depict an embodied experience in a recurring figure. I was also suggested to redirect and focus on directing a narrative.
Another piece of feedback i was offered was to consider making a blog post talking about the fight or flight response and why often small situations can trigger this survival instinct, this seems relevant to do so i will probably include on my 527 blog.

In the cross stage crits I didn't receive to much feedback or advice, but there is one thing that sparked an idea for me. There was a conversation talking about my monoprints that made me think back to an older project from last year - medicine. i did some pieces that depicted side effects of certain medication and I had a similar idea for this project where I could depict the symptoms of anxiety or fear or what is experienced during the fight or flight response, in print form. I'm imaging monoprint or maybe dry point and depicting the body and how it reacts, shaking hand as for example, I think it would be a really interesting experimental piece to try out.
